Daniel Tobok is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Cytelligence Inc. He is an internationally recognized cyber security and digital forensics expert, as well as a serial entrepreneur who has created and successfully divested a number of cyber security companies.
Mr. Tobok has more than 18 years of hands-on experience in all facets of cyber intrusions and hacking incidents as well as forensic digital investigations including:
He eats, sleeps, and breathes cyber security. He has personally participated in more than 1,000 computer forensic investigations and more than 800 security audits and risk analysis engagements. He has consulted to both the private and public sectors in North America and Europe.
Mr. Tobok works for and advises executives and corporate counsel at Canada's top corporations and private companies. In addition, he also works with Finance, Human Resources, and IT departments in a broad range of organizations. A special area of focus for Mr. Tobok is the role of Boards and individual Directors in preventing hacking incidents and cyber theft of customer data, money, and intellectual property.
In the Canadian legal profession, Mr. Tobok is well known on Toronto's Bay Street—home to Canada's leading national law firms. He has handled confidential investigations for many Bay Street law firms during sensitive, high profile international mergers, acquisitions, and takeovers. He's also been called upon in sensitive litigation matters. Mr. Tobok understands that client confidentiality and privacy are non-negotiable requirements of practicing law in Canada.
He has worked with virtually all sectors of industry including: financial services, insurance, , mining, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, food processors, consumer goods, retail, and automotive sectors, media as well as municipal, provincial, and federal governments.

He is a tireless educator about the increasing frequency of cyber threats, the threats to business, the loss of privacy, and the need for constant vigilance. Reporters, editors, and producers have sought his opinion and commentary on security breaches and breaking security stories. He has been interviewed by The Financial Post, The Globe and Mail,The Lawyers Weekly, The Law Times, CTV, CBC, CityTV, and Global Television.
Mr. Tobok has spoken at law schools, bar associations, and security conferences in Canada and the United States. He authored the "Social Networking Recruiting: Implications of this new hiring model" chapter in the Law Society of Upper Canada (LSUC), Special Lectures 2012.
In 2005, he formed Digital Wyzdom, a cyber security firm. In 2013, he sold Digital Wyzdom to TELUS, one of Canada's major telecom companies. Not only did Mr. Tobok sell his company to TELUS, he was recruited to run the entire Digital Forensics Practice at the telecom firm. In 2014, he was promoted to Managing Director, Forensics and Security Consulting. In that capacity, he was responsible for four divisions at TELUS: Forensics, Threat Vulnerability Audit, Governance and Compliance, and Cyber Investigations.
